Help for everyday work

Your first invoice, incoming XML, saving, backups and optional VID EDS connection, step by step.

Your first invoice

First launch needs internet to retrieve the current terms and notices. After a successful fetch, the notices can be read offline. Company, VAT, Max public-data checks and address suggestions are enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings. Review populated business details before relying on them.

  1. Add your company details, bank account and numbering series. A logo is optional.
  2. Choose New invoice, then invoice, credit note or advance invoice.
  3. Select a partner or enter a one-off recipient. Review fields populated by register lookup.
  4. Enter line items, tax categories, references and deadlines. Review totals and XML checks.
  5. Preview the PDF, choose its style, then confirm issuing. Issued invoice content is immutable; use a credit note for a correction.

Check incoming XML

Open XML from the invoice home screen or OS file sharing. Review checks, the data view and PDF. Notes show found information and the expected form; assess them in the context of the transaction.

  • Register lookup applies to Latvian companies.
  • VIES is an EU VAT check; service unavailability is not a validity confirmation.
  • The original XML is preserved unchanged. A preview does not correct the supplier’s document.
  • PDF viewing is free; each successful PDF save or share uses the plan allowance.

Save, share and back up

An opened invoice’s PDF and Files views include save and share icons. XML is the structured invoice. PDF is a readable attachment. The app archive does not replace a long-term backup.

Create regular backups and keep them in a safe place outside the device. Before moving or deleting data, verify that the backup can be opened.

Working in a browser

The browser app uses this browser’s local storage. Private browsing, clearing site data, changing device or storage eviction can remove the archive. Signing in restores your account and plan, not invoice content.

Export a backup before clearing browser data. Keep important invoices outside the browser, too.

Browser payments use Stripe. Optional browser integration operates only in this open tab with your approval and a compatible extension.

VID EDS: connection and responsibility

With Pro or Max, create API access in EDS with the required permissions and add it for a specific issuer. The browser uses a protected CrowFoundry relay; supplied data is processed for forwarding, not a cloud invoice archive.

  1. Verify company, number, totals and the applicable submission obligation.
  2. Review the confirmation text before submitting. Do not treat XML submission as an EDS draft unless EDS supports it.
  3. Check the returned status after sending. An uncertain response does not mean the request was not received.
  4. When in doubt, check EDS before resubmitting.

Accounting exports

Select invoices in the archive, choose Jumis, Zalktis or Visma Horizon and review account mappings. Start with a small sample in your accounting system’s test environment. Creating a file does not establish that an importer accepted it or that the posting is correct.

Report a problem

Open Settings → Report a problem in the app. Choose a type and explain what happened and how to reproduce it. The form does not automatically attach invoices, files or VID keys. Do not include passwords, API keys or sensitive customer information.

You can also write to info@prorekins.lv. Include app version, platform and a fictional example where possible.
